Have you tried changing clothes inside a car? If yes, then you probably know how uncomfortable and slightly claustrophobia-inducing it is (or maybe it’s just me). My first time was during a shoot for an online store, the second time was during our Tagaytay shoot and the third time happened before we shot the photos above. I only noticed the ugly bulge my top made after seeing the photos on my PC. I look like I have a layer of flab right smack in the middle of my tummy. It’s my fault, really… I didn’t double-check my outfit, I just stuffed the clothes inside my bag before I left the house that afternoon. So yes, lesson learned: always double-check!
The photos are taken by the creative, Louise Manuel (thank you so much for agreeing to do this with us). I’ve been planning a fun shoot with several Tumblr fashion bloggers since Christmas last year but it was hard for us to synchronize our schedules. Good thing, it finally pushed through last January 7 even though only a few were able to attend. It was really nice to meet some of the people behind the blogs I follow. :) I’ll post more photos from the shoot soon.
By the way… did you notice the “face” on my right knee? I hope it doesn’t start to talk *cue eerie The Twilight Zone music* ;_;

Yesterday, I attended the presscon for Weddings & Debuts 2012 Bridal Fair. I got invited as a blogger, thankfully the venue is at north for a change. Almost all blog events I go to are very far from home. Despite the location, it was my first time to go to Plaza Ibarra; it’s so beautifully decorated. Moe and I were the last ones to leave because we couldn’t stop taking photos haha.
As for the outfit, well… I opted to wear something casual that gives off “yuppie” vibes. Ever since I turned 19 (last month), I’ve been thinking of updating my wardrobe and buying more structured pieces that look professional which I’m sure I’ll be wearing more often after I graduate (next year na! haha). Fortunately, I’m still at that age where I can simultaneously wear pa-sweet and pa-serious outfits.
I’ll blog about the event soon and I’m really hoping that I’ll be able to stick to my New Year’s blog resolution which is: update more often. Hope you all have an awesome weekend!

When all the doors are barred shut, look for windows.
Open doors are too easy to walk through. The problem is that if a person keeps on taking the easy way, there is no growth to be had.
Windows are different. Windows require you to climb and to jump. If it’s closed, take out your axe and do the work. Almost any window can be forced open. People don’t use windows to get to places because it’s too inconvenient. Do it anyway.
Adversity makes a person learn how to frame situations and opportunities differently. In the end, you will end up stronger and will gain a fresher perspective.
Stop waiting for people to open doors for you. Smash those windows. If you get hurt, wear your scars proud. It’s not being proud to be better than anyone else, but being proud that you were able to best the odds. Be proud that you didn’t quit when it got tough.
Give me back those broken pieces and I will assemble them into a beautiful work of art. There is beauty in adversity. In every war, heroes must reach a point of no return where they have no choice but to press on. Without that point, no true song of triumphant victory can be sung.
We, the young, must do our part. Curses can be broken if we stand together.

I slept at 6am (to finish a website project) and woke up at around 2pm today (not good! I should’ve drank coffee). I still have tons of plates to finish for our finals week, my reward for procrastinating. The only reason why I’m still sane is my super loving boyfriend (mehganon?) he’s been really sweet and thoughtful lately that it makes me wonder if we have a healthy relationship. We’ve been together for more than 4 years but I think we’re still in the “honeymoon stage” (you know that stage where couples say I love you at least 10x a day, argues who hangs up the phone first and everything just feels shiny and new) kalerkey!!
Anyway, here’s a pretty laid back outfit that’s perfect for the bipolar weather. We actually shot these photos during an on and off drizzle. Moe and I would come back to the roofed area whenever it started pouring again and take photos when it stops.
Those gorgeous shoes (I really love the brocade detail and structured heel) are unbelievably comfortable. You wouldn’t even notice you’re already falling; they are that light. The taupe and black long sleeve romper is another ukay-ukay (thrift store) find.
